Clean Energy Sign Up Campaign

Little People, Big Changes is building on their efforts to fight global warming with a campaign to get as many Connecticut consumers as possible to sign up for the Connecticut Clean Energy Option (CTCleanEnergyOptionsSM).

Through the CTCleanEnergyOptionsSM, Connecticut consumers can sign up to have their electric usage  offset with wind and landfill gas renewable energy credits -- displacing energy from suppliers using coal, oil, and gas electricity generation which create carbon emissions that exacerbate global warming.

Everyone Wins!

The Earth:  For every person that signs up for CTCleanEnergyOptionsSM, their electric usage will be offset with clean energy credits!!!  This energy is the type that won’t produce carbon dioxide emissions, one of the main causes of global warming.

The Town:  For every 100 households who sign up for CTCleanEnergyOptionsSM, it will receive a free solar panel system*, worth $20,000,  on a public building such as a school, library or fire station.  Help make your town carbon-neutral!

The School:  For every person that signs up for CTCleanEnergyOptionsSM through the Little People Big Changes’ campaign, $5 will be donated toward a fantastic piece of equipment for the Cider Mill School (Wilton) science lab.

Learn more about the benefits of signing up for clean energy!  Signing up is easy and costs little.

*The solar panel system will be installed free of charge by CL&P, and can be used on public buildings.  In order to be eligible to receive the solar panels, the Town must adopt the CT Clean Energy  resolution.
