As the umbrella
topic of their initial efforts, Alex and Jordan believe that global warming and climate change
should be addressed by kids, since kids will be the ones most
affected. They have researched the science of global warming by
reading, internet research, and visiting science museums. They were
most impressed by the fact that the earth is at its warmest in over
650,000 years, the farthest back that scientists can measure
climate, and is getting warmer, which will result in major weather
changes, flooding, problems with food and water supply, and spread
of disease. They believe that one person can make a big difference,
so together we can all change the world.
